Albert Jay Richardson, an Alston-Pleasants Scholar, is a PNC Financial Services Group Vice President. While a resident of Halifax County, he was awarded an Alston-Pleasants Scholarship for undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and, in 1991, received his undergraduate degree in Political Science. In 2011, he was awarded an Alston-Pleasants Post-Graduate Scholars Fund scholarship leading to his UNC-CH 2012 graduate degree of Master of Public Administration. Albert began his role as a Fund Trustee in November 2017.

J. Gilbert Stallings, LL.B., an Alston-Pleasants Scholar, is a retired Assistant General Counsel of Metropolitan Life Insurance Company.  He has undergraduate and law degrees from UNC. He has been a Fund Trustee since 2008.
