Good Times with Great Company at the Fall 2016 Scholars Luncheon

On a bright, warm October afternoon at the Carolina Inn, the Trustees had a delightful time reuniting with several of our fellow Alston-Pleasant scholars, catching up with how their careers and studies are going.  The conversation ranged over such disparate topics as the need for young kids to expose themselves to more germs and the means by which we can generate more media attention to future scholarship winners.  Regarding the latter, we considered the potential for social media to get the word out, as well as looking at online newspapers.   We would be receptive to any suggestion you have for expanding the possibilities for achieving these ends.

We also talked a bit about UNC football—let it be noted that the Heels snapped Florida State’s home game winning streak with a 54-yard field goal as time ran out.

We look forward to renewing these bonds of fellowship next fall!
